Our Story

Christa and John first ‘met’ online. Yup, online. Playing an online video game. At that time, Christa lived in New York and John lived in Nebraska. And we barely knew each other. We had only ‘met’ a couple of times in the game.

Soon we did meet in person, but we were just acquaintances. Christa moved to Nebraska in 2000, and eventually they became friends.

Finally, in 2004, it happened. John left roses in Christa’s mailbox. Until that day, Christa was clueless – she had no idea that John liked her. Surprise! Their first date was on June 24 – dinner and Spider-Man 2.

In 2007, John proposed to Christa. Surprise again! He actually asked her mother’s permission. Mom’s answer? “That’s not my decision. It’s Christa’s.”

Now, after twelve years together, Christa and John are finally getting married.
