When? Where?

What time does it start?
The ceremony will be at 3:00pm, with the reception following immediately after.
How do I get there?
The address for the Canfield Casino is 25 East Congress Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Where can I park?
Limited parking will be available in front of the Canfield Casino on East Congress Street. The closest parking lots are north of Congress Park, at the corner of Putnam and Spring Streets. From there it is a short, 3 minute walk through the park to the Casino. Parking at both locations is free.
Where is the reception?
Same place! The Canfield Casino.
I’ve heard rumors that the Canfield Casino is haunted. Is this true?!?
Do you believe in ghosts? Many people who have visited the Canfield Casino say they have encountered…something. In 2010, the Ghost Hunters TV show even investigated the Casino to check it out. Maybe you’ll see an apparition or feel a chill on the back of your neck…maybe you won’t.
How do I RSVP? When is the RSVP deadline?

Are children welcome?
Yes! We’ll have some fun gifts and activities for your kids, so that we can all enjoy the day together.
What’s that symbol on your invitations and website?
Some of you may recognize the shape – it’s a simplified Celtic knot. Specifically, it’s the basic design of matching tattoos that Christa and John got together in 2008. Both tattoos were done by Tyson Schaffert at Iron Brush Tattoo.
The artwork on our invitations, Save the Dates, and our website was done by a local Lincoln artist, Chris Ralston, of R10 Creations.
I’m coming from out of town. Where can I stay?
We’ve arranged for a block of rooms at two hotels in Saratoga Springs. Click here for the details.
Is transportation being provided between the wedding site and the hotels?
Yes, for guests staying in the block of rooms at our hotels, shuttle service will be provided by the hotels to and from the Canfield Casino.
What should I wear?
Fra-gee-lay. It must be Italian!
We are calling our dress code ‘wedding flexible’. This means you should come in whatever makes you feel comfortable and fabulous and ready to celebrate with us! For those of you who need something more official, let’s go with ‘casual/semi-formal’.
What about social media? Facebook, Instagram, Twitter…? Yay or Nay?
Yes, please! We’d love to see the day through your eyes. Tag your posts and photos with #christajohnwedding on all your social media sites to help us capture the memories.
Is there a gift registry?
Yup! Head over to our Registry page to check it out.
Will food be served?
Yes. There will be appetizers during the cocktail hour followed by a full buffet with a wide variety of food, including vegetarian and dairy-free. If you have any specific food allergies or requests, please let us know using the Contact Us form.
Is there an open bar?
We are having a mixed open/cash bar – beer, wine, and soda is complementary. Cocktails will be available for purchase.
What time will the reception end?
9:00pm
Will there be an after-party?
Maybe. Keep checking back here. If we organize something ahead of time, we’ll update this FAQ. Or we might just end up doing something on-the-fly, arranged at the wedding. 🙂
